"Many years ago, this building served as a combination General Store and Post Office for the small village of Limeport, PA. At the time I painted it, it was showing signs of age and disrepair. Recently, it was condemned by the safety people and, subsequently, torn down. It disturbs me to see relics of the past succumb to the progress of the present. Maybe, through my art, I can preserve their memories." - Ray Hendershot

WHAT IS A GICLÉE?

The name, GICLÉE, is a French word that literally means "spray of ink". A GICLÉE is a high resolution digital print made from an archival ink and media combination. It is considered to be the world's best technique for reproducing original works of art. The rich, saturated color and sharpness of detail make the GICLÉE print look and feel like the original artwork often making it difficult to distinguish between the two.
